9th Grade Year!
9th Grade year was one of the best school years in my life because one of the things that i cherished the most was the student/teacher relationships. the reason why that was so important to me is because i went to St. Columba Catholic School from Pre-School, all the way through 8th Grade. and over the course of being at the school for 12 years, i was able to know the teachers very well. I think for me having a good student/teacher relationship is one of the ways i can succeed as a learner, especially at Animas because one of the Habits Of Heart And Mind is advocacy. I find that when you need to talk to your teacher about how you are as a student, when your advocating for yourself, you need to not be nervous to talk to your teacher. And with having a good student/teacher relationship, its a lot easier to talk to them about your grade or if your not doing to well with a certain protect, you are never nervous to talk to them about it. And that is one of the reasons why i love Animas is because at St Columba it took me years to have a good student/teacher relationship and i had a class of 13 students, so the teachers knew us very well. when i went to Animas, i had a lot more students in my classes then i ever had at St. Columba and i had a better student/ teacher relationship than i had ever had in my entire school career.
